New Features and Non-Breaking Changes
Contact Cards
Edelog 6.7 introduces Contact Cards. Contact Cards are displayed on many places where a user is referenced (e.g., in Activity Feed posts, or as linked user value) if the mouse is moved over the reference (e.g., a profile picture).
Contact Cards can be extended by apps to display more information of a user directly inline. Expert Directory users can add Expert Directory to their Contact Cards from within the organization settings.
Updated Calendar and Timeline Views
Calendar and timeline views have a new layout. For timeline view, the actual names of users/groups are now used rather than their technical name/username.
Improved Object Picker
The object picker has been improved to make it easier to find and select data records.
Database filters are now available in object picker as well
New data records can be created from within object picker if the user has sufficient permissions
Watch Data Record
Edelog 6.7 introduces a new option to watch a data record. When active, all users who follow a data record are informed via notification if the data record has been updated or a new activity has been added.
Improved Handling of Database Views and Filters
With Edelog 6.7 you can now adjust the sorting of database views and filters. Furthermore, user-specific database views or filters are displayed more distinguished than before.
Besides that, database view can now be configured to include a default sorting that is applied if the user doesn't have configured another sorting.
Views with data tables now have the "Details" button pinned to the right-hand side for easy access. Furthermore, table-based database views can now be configured to have a certain number of columns pinned to the left.
Other Changes
Read-only link record fields are now rendered as links so they can be clicked
Database views will now inform the user if the configuration is invalid
On login screen, you can now go back to choose a different authentication method without the need to re-enter your username/email again
Selecting a parent item on validation tree view will now automatically select all children
Added an option to link user/groups columns to use a certain user/group or the current user as default value
Activity Feed: Long mails and posts can now be collapsed again after they've been expanded
Label input has a different appearance that is suitable for large collections of labels
Boolean input now includes another appearance for neutral state
The title of data sheets is now displayed when hovering over the data sheet's tab
Date inputs now have a diffent appearance and use the native browser date/time input
Data sync jobs are now displayed in real time on the data sync page
Bug Fixes
Fixes a problem that causes file fields to diplay invalid content when rendered inside a data sheet "Preview"
Fixes a problem that causes object/user picker to be rendered above the main navigation when creating a new data record
Fixes a problem that causes a 404 page to be displayed if a database view contains references to a deleted data column under certain circumstances
Fixes a problem that causes linked data record fields to display an invalid text instead of the actual value under certain circumstances
Fixex a problem that causes linked data record fields to be not clickable under certain circumstances.
Fixes a problem that prevented downloading PDF files that have been generated with Classic Forms
Fixes a problem that causes empty values of text columns to be marked as invalid if content-type validation is active
Fixes a problem that prevented uploading or downloading TIFF files
