New Features

Errol (Time Tracking)

  • Errol is a new app for time tracking. It offers an agenda with a day, week and month overview, active time tracking, manual entries and a "Go to Today" shortcut.

  • Administrators can configure working hours models (including intervals and assignments to users), absence types, absences, minimum break durations and automatic approval.

  • Timesheets are generated daily, calculate balances and violations, and entries can be approved, unlocked and recalculated in bulk.

  • Users are reminded of long-running time trackings.

  • Errol works offline and synchronizes automatically.

Audit Logs

  • A new audit log viewer in the settings displays audit logs for data records, data types, data columns, organizational units and sessions. Failed actions are included.

Mail

  • The attachments of mail activities now display thumbnails, can be downloaded individually or as a ZIP file.

  • Mail messages can now be edited in fullscreen, and the referenced message is displayed inside the editor.

  • Pasted recipient addresses, including the clipboard format of Outlook, are now recognized.

  • Users are now notified if sending an email has failed.

Customer Portals

  • Customer portals now support viewing and filling out forms.

  • Database views in customer portals can now be filtered.

Data Explorer

  • Users can switch between the legacy and the new Data Explorer.

  • Status columns can now color entries in the calendar and map view.

  • Columns of sub-queries can now be resized.

  • Record collections are now available in the "References" data sheet.

Workflows

  • The workflow action "Add Activity to Data Object" can now pin the activity.

EDELOG Shell

  • A feature flag allows translating the EDELOG UI automatically into additional languages.

Changes

Identity & Access Management

  • EDELOG now uses a new authorization token system. It replaces the previous JWTs and supports elevating session tokens.

  • The permission profiles have been cleaned up and now include the permission "List associated records".

Mail

  • HTML formatting and inline images are now preserved when replying.

  • "Reply all" now includes all required recipients.

  • Emails without recipients can no longer be sent.

  • The sanitization of embedded images and CID sources has been improved.

Data Explorer

  • Live updates of data record values have been improved.

  • Filters in database views can now be applied asynchronously.

  • Text fields with allowed values are now rendered as dropdowns.

  • Filtered reference records are now displayed as inactive in the timeline.

EDELOG Shell

  • The visual style of backgrounds and the login page has been refreshed.

  • The CKEditor toolbar is no longer sticky by default.

  • Moment.js is now integrated into the translation library, and number formats support a minimum precision.

Bug Fixes

Data Explorer / Data Layer APIs

  • Validators fail on file and record collection columns.

  • Calculated permissions are not updated reliably if the parent is updated.

  • Subordinate target database column changes are not persisted.

  • References to hidden databases cause errors in record collections.

  • Invalid data object IDs cause errors.

Mail

  • Pasted addresses are not parsed correctly in the To, CC and BCC fields.

  • Attachments of forwarded messages are not shown in the editor.

  • The reply subject is not prefixed consistently.

  • A translation is missing in Mail.

Activity Feed

  • The reaction footer is displayed even though it has no content.

  • Mention tags are not rendered reliably.

  • Activities that are inaccessible to the user can be opened.

EDELOG Shell

  • Cross-origin requests for file downloads fail due to missing CORS headers.

  • The dropdown menu of the task repeater cannot be clicked.

  • Users of a portal cannot be deleted.

  • Some language variables use "ae" and "ue" instead of "ä" and "ü".
